Just awful! Stay Away!

Absolutely horrible! Stay away from this place! The place is a run down motel roach hole in the wall in some twisted back alley a stone's throw from Taksim Sq. They dont have an elevator so you have to lug your bags upstairs yourself. The front staff is exceptionally rude and unhelpful. We were told to leave our bags by reception and they would be attended to.we got back from dinner and they were still there. Had to pay a kid in the street to take our bags up 5 flights of narrow windy stairs to our room since the night shift said 'it wasn't his problem'. When we asked to leave, he said that he wouldnt issue any kind of refund as we had booked through trip advisor for the wonderful rate of 90 euros per night. Our bags had stayed in reception without any security with people going in an out for hours when we were assured that it would have been attended to. Upon check in our rooms were cleaned while we waited in the landing- the room was dirty and small. Every morning we were awakened by the call to prayer before sunrise which seems to be next door. Their main sewage line had backed up so we had to sleep with the windows open the entire night to counter the stench of human waste in the entire building. We were there for 3 nights total- 3 nights of awful stay. We were never provided with shampoo or anything of the kind. Bathroom was terrible, couldnt use it without holding your breath had to shower with the door open so I didnt feel like I was showering in a port a potty. Forget sheet changes, we were however provided with fresh towels. The place is run down, badly managed, dirty and not hospitable. The owner met with us and offered a very standard cold apology. he also offered an extra nights stay but kinda pointless because we had tickets which is he is probably well aware of and the fact that we wouldnt have stayed in his crappy hotel another minute more than we had to. The hotel isnt on tripadvisor anymore thankfully but stay away. Its really really awful.

I enjoyed the location of this hotel, close to the airport bus drop off station, close to Taksim square, close to Maksim Metro Station and Bus central station. The room is spacious but very basis and rustic. I only had a fridge, kettle and some basic kitchen utensils available. You need to bring your own coffee, sugar, milk, etc. There was soap and shower gel available and the towels were changed every day. The room also had a flat screen TV with various channels, but not enough English. Breakfast was very basic with bread, cheese, processed meat slices, boiled eggs, jam, honey, etc. including coffee and tea. No variety was provided. The walls are thin as you can hear your neighbours. About 20 m away is a main street, with some shops and restaurants. This was useful and you can enjoy some local cuisine. The hotel staff was very friendly, Ali provided me with directions on using the public transport.

This is the 5th time i come to turkey , i always take the same suit in three apples . Perfect hotel , excellent staff , and good price . I advice every traveller to come to three apples suit , and be sure that you will be well treated by the owner and staff

We spent five excellent days in Istanbul (May 2015) and thanks to “3 Apples” it went smoothly without any problems as we could have a real rest in that nice, quiet hotel after exhausting hiking throughout the city. Recommend!
